A Sweet And Tiny Apple Treat
Since I’m sure absolutely everyone is making their own handmade pies this season (wink), I bet you’ll have some extra pie dough lying around and no idea what to do with it! I have the answer: apple. pie. dumplings. Yes, they’re as adorable as they sound, and equally as easy and delicious to make.
Ingredients
1 apple (I prefer Honeycrisp)
All Spice powder
Ginger powder
Cinnamon powder
Leftover pie crust
Keep pie crust in the fridge. Cut apple into small cubes. Place pieces into a bowl. Add in a dash of All-Spice, a dash of ginger, and a dash of cinnamon. Mix together. Take out pie crust from fridge and roll out as thin as possible without breaking the dough. Use a biscuit cutter (or anything you can use) to cut out circular shapes in your dough. Poke small holes in each disc. Add in a couple apple squares into each disc, and fold together! Place dumplings on a baking sheet and bake at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes until dough is a nice golden-brown. Serve warm!
