A Little Square of Veggie Heaven
This tart is an easy and tasty appetizer for entertaining or even just a quiet Friday night in - a healthier alternative to pizza, if you will :) You can make them ahead of time and serve them warm or cold, making them a versatile treat year-round!
Brussel Sprouts Tart (serves 4)
Ingredients
1 10 ounce puff pastry, defrosted
1 pound brussels, roughly chopped
1 large shallot, diced
1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
1 lime
1 teaspoon chili flakes (Aleppo style preferred)
Dash of salt
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Lay the puff pastry on a baking sheet lined with a silpat. Spread the brussels and shallots on the puff pastry and then place the cherry tomatoes on top. Squeeze the lime juice and then add the chili flakes and a generous dash of salt. Cook in the oven for 30 minutes. Serve hot.
